The PBS Showcase has moved! Instead of arriving a day early, you can now attend the PBS Showcase Lunch on Wednesday, July 10, during the regular PMDMC conference. Join us for an exciting journey of inspiring programs and series hitting your schedules this fall and winter. We’ll share previews of core program genres like Drama, Arts and History, and shine a light on the ways PBS is using national content to support your local fundraising efforts. This is a great way to connect with colleagues, old and new, and get excited for the year ahead.

PBS Showcase Lunch takes place during Wednesday’s “lunch on your own” time slot. This event is FREE, but you must be registered to attend. Lunch will be served. Spaces are limited.

Join Lesli Rotenberg, PBS Senior Vice President & General Manager, Children’s Media & Education, for a behind-the-scenes look at the new PBS KIDS programs MOLLY OF DENALI and XAVIER RIDDLE AND THE SECRET MUSEUM, and learn how the multi-platform content will impact our nation’s youngest learners. Then, special guest Angela Santomero will share her story of growing up inspired by Mister Rogers and how this led to the creation of DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD. Be sure to arrive early to meet your favorite PBS characters and snap a photo for social media!

Whether you subscribe to the Porsche car service or Bacon of the Month Club, we live in a subscription economy. Just about everything now is measured by recurring revenue, but what can the rise of PBS Passport and member stations learn from the fast paced and quickly evolving subscription-based business model? Join Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) industry experts and TV/Radio member stations as we explore the lessons learned when building an organizational culture that nurtures value and reduces customer (err, member) churn. The day will focus on broad market forces that have driven the growth of subscription businesses as well as explore the tactical opportunities for TV/Radio stations to acquire and retain members. Attendees will take away the building blocks of a customer success management model and how it can be applied locally to manage sustainers. The pre-conference is open to PBS member station attendees only, and is free.
