A Fresh Perspective on Philanthropy: Learning From Outside Nonprofit Leaders

  • Wednesday - 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM

Public media’s world of philanthropy is ever-evolving. We in public media benefit from being a tight-knit group; we advise and assist one another where we can. But we're also wise to look to voices outside of our arena to gain knowledge and share ideas. Join us for an all-star panel moderated by WTTW’s Chicago Tonight correspondent and host Brandis Friedman. We’ll hear from leaders across a variety of high-profile Chicago nonprofit organizations, including Lurie Children’s Hospital, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Chicago Community Trust, and the Girl Scouts of Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Learn how these philanthropy champions receive buy-in from their leadership teams; have evolved and changed their approaches over the years; and what drives their teams to success.
